Carterton's Annual May Day Fair is one of the biggest events in Carterton's calendar and has been taking place on
the Early May Bank Holiday for the past 45 years! Every year thousands of visitors flock to the Recreation Ground
to enjoy a huge range of attractions, rides, refreshments and stalls. The event is run & organised entirely by
unpaid volunteers from the local branch of Save the Children Fund who want to put on a great community
event while raising money for charity at the same time.
We are delighted that Carterton's 45th annual May Day Fair will once again
take place on the May bank holiday on Monday 5th May 2025!
We had thousands of people flocking to the Carterton recreation ground in 2024 to enjoy a fun filled family day out, it was one of our busiest ones ever! We had lots of stalls and attractions including Bumblebee the Transformer, a dinosaur, giant tortoises, superheroes, princesses, fairground rides, a craft marquee, over 80 business & charity stalls, refreshments, scarecrow trail, live music and a fabulous dog show run by K9 Playtime Academy.
Thank-you to everyone who supported our event and made it such a success, you helped us raise over £6,800 for Save the Children Fund which goes to help disadvantaged children all over the world, in this country and abroad.
We look forward to seeing you in 2025 and hope you can just us for a fun filled day out!
